Sword is the most dangerous of all the weapons used. A blink of eye and you are nowhere. The sword is in practice from the time one can barely think of. All the ancient wars were fought by the swords. Unlike the weapons used today, they depend on one’s skills and practice. The better may survive in this format of fight. It is not like the other weapons where you can hide and target others, it is a man’s weapon, where you have to pick it up in your hand have to fight face to face. It is a type of weapon which do not give you any second chance.

One mistake can cost you, your life. If not life, still a part of body may be lost or be wounded in a way that it may take months to heal up, that much deep are the wounds of sword. If one wants to know the art of using it, while practicing, sword can cause the damage to body. So for sake of safety, training swords were introduced. Only by attacking the one cannot win, he must learn the art of blocking and saving himself from an attack.

Training is what that is needed to escape safe from the attack. This defensive training can be done with the help of training sword only, if using original sword, it would be just like crossing the road with closed eyes and maybe crossing road would be safe.

As practice makes a man perfect, practicing with training swords makes a man perfect in the art of using sword. The skills matter the most in the use of sword, your grip, your movement, your body position and your senses all work in collaboration to do the best in this field. This can only be achieved if someone hard works more, but original sword increases the risk, so training sword are the best for this purpose.

Once you are trained, you can use the original ones. Training swords are specially designed swords which do have the same weight of the original ones and also have the same shape. But the training swords are not dangerous at all. They are made in a way that does not cause harm. They cannot kill a person and even they don’t give wounds.

Material Used in Training Swords

The time when training swords were introduced, wood was the only material used in replacement of blade. Later bamboo was used too. With the change in time, the training swords changed as well. Now plastic swords which are perfect replicas of original one are available at large scale. Apart from plastic other synthetic material is also being used.

The safest of all and must say softest of all, foam is the latest introduction in material being used in training swords. All these are used for the purpose to avoid any hazard that the original sword can cause. They all are safe as they do not impose any wound or injury. However, the wood may hurt you but still, will not be responsible for any serious injury.

In martial arts, the sword fight is favorite of many people. The way they move their swords to show their talent is one of the most fascinating thing in martial arts. For the practicing of these skills, they use different types of training swords. Depending upon the type of material used and the purpose of use, they are categorized differently. Waster is the oldest among all training swords. It is a woody sword. It is serving martial art from decades. Feder is another type of training sword used.

It is more commonly a fighting sword and is used in institutes where sword fighting is taught. Suburito is another type of training sword available. It is heavy weighted and generally used by the ones who want to practice their skills. We can say the ones, who show their skills in martial art competitions use this type of training sword to get the best result. Bokken is the training sword which is replica of the famous katana sword. It is made of bamboo. The ultimate purpose of all these training swords is same and that is to reduce the damage caused by original swords for sale if used in practice session.
